Time line.
For you to create a successful plot, you need to know where GZ falls into the Zoids legacy as far as time lines. Well the RPG is set four years after the end of the Guardian Force branch of Chaotic Century. (Of course, we've been here awhile, so you may as well say five now.) Just make sure to plot along that line to keep it believable.
NPC Characters.
Non Player Characters can really spice up a plot. These are freely able to be used. There really is no limit to the amount you may have, but please don't abuse the system. You don't have to have bios for them, and you may do whatever you want with them. The extent of their virtual lives is completely up to you. There's also no need to contact a mod or admin to ask for a permission to use one either. Simply do as you please.
NPC Zoids.
Non Player Character Zoids are also fun to use. They provide a lot of entertainment, and you can make them as challenging, or as pathetic, as you want. These cost nothing to use, but don't abuse the system. Battles against NPC Zoids don't really count for battle records. However, if it's a full-fledge battle that a friend is controlling the opponent for you, and nothing is set up, you may add the record. Also, NPC Zoids may only be given to NPC Characters. You may not randomly give an NPC Zoid to one of your own characters.
NPC Organoids.
NPC Organoids are also a blast. Coming up with new designs for them is a lot of fun. Best of all, they're free! You cannot take them and use them as your own though. If in an official battle, one that is not plotted or planned for a plot, you may not use the NPC. However, the extent of how you use the organoid, what you use it for, and who you use it against is up to you. Feel free to contact your RP buddy and make some plans for a NPC organoid. NPC organoids may NOT be used for your characters. Only NPC characters should have NPC organoids.
Dead people from the anime stay dead.
If a character from the Zoids anime died, then they stay dead. Keep in mind that GZ is set four years after the end of the Guardian Force branch of the series. People like, Prozen, Hiltz, Stinger, Marcus, and others who died, will remain dead. No bringing them back.
Uber Zoids in plots is bad.
Zoids like the Death Saurer, Death Stinger, Mad Thunder, Ultrasaurus, and Seismosaurus, will not be used in plots. These zoids arn't allowed in any form of roleplay on the boards.
No Site-Wide plots.
If you're going to plot something, do it with a group of friends. Trying to involve everyone or a huge group of people in a plot drags them all into what you want to do. It can be selfish, considering some of those people may want to work their own stuff. Also, the more people you have in your plot, the more they tie in with other plots. So be careful who and how you pull people into you stories. It's best to ask them before dragging them in.
Character Plots.
Alright, every character has a history. They have pasts, presents, and hopes for the futures. Obviously, that's a character's plot. You have about three options: 1, keep your character around for fun and use him as you wish, not really adding anything to the character development. 2, roleplay your character often and slowly progress the character development with a good RP now and then. 3, roleplay plotted RPs and develope the character regularly, making sure to update bios and such as needed when something happens in the RP.
Plotting an RP.
Yes, you hear me mentioning plotting an RP quite often. What does it mean? Exactly what it says. Plotting an RP. Put a bunch of thoughts together, watch a good movie, see a good episode, read a good book, anything. Whatever you do, even in everyday life, you're going to have little ideas. Now, relating them to your characters and turning those ideas into a full fledged RP is a bit challenging at first. So grab a pen and paper, and throw some ideas on it. Then grab your nearest roleplaying buddy and run the ideas by them. Look at the stuff, then look at your characters, and make an RP! Plan it out, throw in some NPCs, and ta-da! You have a plotted RP! They're a lot of fun, and when you make sure to keep it alive, you're bound to have a LOAD of page views. Oh, and by the way, plotted RPs are much more likely to stay alive and not go unactive. This is because you know what to do and you're not left standing around going "Okay, now what?"
"Bending" The Rules.
In a plotted RP, you may want to do something that rather contradicts with the rules. A lot of the time, the rules are made to keep the peace and so the system works. However! If you and a friend agree on something, you may bend the rules. This is mainly with godmodding and powerplaying! Bending other stuff is something you really shouldn't get into a habbit too, but if its reasonable and your friend agrees, you may. If you're worried your bending too much, E-mail or PM Koneko and ask her. She'll let you know the boundaries. But, as far as powerplaying and godmodding, you may do so only if your RP buddy knows of it, agrees, and you have things set up.
Sci-Fi Exception.
Okay, obviously, a lot of stuff can happen in an RP. Lots of awkward situations, bending laws of nature, and weird things in general. Such is a law of Sci-fi. Now, you may be wondering what counts as an exception. Well, Alternate Dimensions perhaps. Androids, clones, and things along those lines. Some of these things have the possibility to slightly contradict with the rules. Yet if you plot it out well enough, can come up with a good enough explanation, run it by Koneko and she'll let you know if you can go through with it. Zoids are living machines from another planet. That counts as Sci-Fi, so yes, we'll go further into that realm.
